The main question for www.endoscopicsinussurgeryaec.com or www.endoscopicsinussurgeryasean.com is :
"Is Assoc. Prof. Dr. Kanit Muntarbhorn (รศ. นพ. คณิต มันตาภรณ์) of Thailand really
an international pioneer in Endoscopic Skull Base Surgery, Functional Endoscopic
Sinus Surgery (FESS), Endoscopic Sinus Surgery (ESS), Endoscopic Lacrimal
Surgery e.g. DCR, and is a part of Medical History?"
Therefore, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Kanit Muntarbhorn (รศ.นพ. คณิต มันตาภรณ์) of
Thailand is requesting information on "endoscopic skull base surgery"
publications in the world up to and before 1994 (AD) on the specific keywords
(see later). Early endoscopic pituitary surgery publications are known and
abstracts are available in NIH (USA).

THAILAND experience and evidence (Muntarbhorn K. Craniofacial Resections and Endoscopic Anterior Skull Base Tumor Surgery 1985-2005: History Research)
were presented at ERS 2018 i.e. 27th Congress of European Rhinologic Society
(also meetings of ISIAN & International Rhinologic Society), London, UK, April
22-26, 2018: poster presented on 23rd April, P 199 and also abstract published in
ERS 2018 app. under "skull base surgery" theme section).
Some relevant information included:
         •  IN 1988, AN 18-YEAR-OLD FEMALE WITH UNILATERAL PARTIAL VISUAL
LOSS UNDERWENT LATERAL RHINOTOMY & CRANIOFACIAL RESECTION OF SCHWANNOMA (INTRACRANIAL NEURILEMMOMA) AT RAMATHIBODI
HOSPITAL. LATER IN 1989, RECURRENT TUMOR WAS RESECTED VIA
SUBLABIAL MIDFACIAL DEGLOVING APPROACH WITHOUT CRANIOTOMY.
AFTER THAT DURING 1990-1992, ENDOSCOPIC EXAMINATIONS AND/OR
REMOVAL OF RECURRENT TUMOR (SEEN ON PREOP. MRI IMAGES) WERE
PERFORMED (ENDOSCOPIC ANTERIOR SKULL BASE TUMOR SURGERY) AT RAMATHIBODI HOSPITAL. ALIVE IN 2015. (Refs: Muntarbhorn K. Sublabial
